This is an Irotomesode kimono, a formal garment traditionally worn by married women for ceremonial and official occasions.

The design is characterized by its pattern placed only along the hem, leaving the upper body intentionally minimal and refined. This piece features elegant crane motifs rendered in gold and muted tones, symbolizing longevity, harmony, and auspicious beginnings.

Notably, the kimono bears family crests (mon) on the upper body, indicating its formal status. The presence of multiple crests elevates the garment’s level of formality, placing it just below the black tomesode in traditional ranking.
